Building Structure Technician

Our client, an engineering consulting firm in the building industry, is looking for a Building Structure Technician-Drafter, (95% drafting and 5% on site).

• Meet with customers;
• Prepare feasibility studies for various projects;
• Create plans for residential, municipal, commercial, industrial and institutional projects;
• Minimal design of elements forming part of projects;
• Quality control of plans prepared by team members;
• Prepare cost estimates for the work;
• Prepare plans, specifications and tender documents;
• Write reports and letters;
• Supervision of site work.

Requirements:

• DEP in Building Drafting, DEC in Civil Engineering (structure) or DEC in Architecture;
• At least 3 years of experience in building structures (residential or commercial);
• Knowledge of Revit or AutoCAD;
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle;
• Asset: Knowledge of NBC 2015 and CSA A23.3, S16 and O86 design standards;
• Schedule: 38 hours/week;
• French, functional English.
