Buyer

Our client, a major manufacturer of parts for the aerospace industry, is looking for a buyer, (75% purchasing and 25% logistics).

• Place orders with approved suppliers and according to the delivery requirements established by the ERP system;
• Meet with suppliers to build relationships and plan purchases;
• Negotiate prices and payment terms with suppliers;
• Manage order follow-ups to ensure timely delivery;
• Collaborate with other departments within the company;
• Coordinate cost and inventory reduction projects and controls;
• Recommend and put in place approved purchasing policies and procedures;
• Inventory and demand analysis: analyze production requirements using MRP (purchasing details, raw materials, calibration services, etc.).

Requirements:

• DEP/AEC in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration;
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position or 3 years of experience as a buyer in the aeronautic industry;
• Computer literate - Microsoft Office, ERP systems;
• Asset: CPIM Certification;
• Bilingual.
