Building Mechanics Designer-Drafter

Our client, a well-established company in real estate, is looking for a Building Mechanics Designer-Drafter.

• Create mechanical ventilation and plumbing plans (domestic water, chilled water, heating water, steam, fire protection), as well as floor plans (interior and exterior);
• Provide necessary calculations for the selection of equipment such as mixing boxes, fans, pumps, heat exchangers, humidifiers, etc.;
• Work with clients for design solutions;
• Prepare plans, communicate to project managers, transaction managers and other stakeholders as needed;
• Assists in valuation analysis and continuous improvement to design services;
• Create occupancy plans, as well as floor layout plans;
• Respond to customer inquiries for information.

Requirements:

• DEC in Building Mechanics or equivalent;
• 1 year of pertinent experience using AutoCAD; (asset: experience in commercial/industrial architecture);
• Knowledge of construction practices, project management, building and municipal codes;
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
• Ability to present information to an internal team;.
• Knowledge of MS Office;
• French.
