Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client manufactures electronic equipment. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer. You will be involved in the design, development and maintenance of various mechanical hardware for automated electronic test equipment.

• Produce 3D models needed for marketing and sales;
• Design injection molded components;
• Design packaging and enclosures, including sheet metal and molded parts;
• Design maintenance systems for all parts and assembly drawings;
• Generate silkscreen designs for front and back panels, etc.;
• Generate production interface drawings (including PCB layouts and assembly aids);
• Provide production support and work with other departments as needed;
• Develop in-depth design documentation; product specifications and safety analysis;
• Provide support to customers and other departments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering;
• At least 5 years of relevant experience;
• Knowledge of SolidWorks;
• Knowledge of the design of plastic moldings;
• Asset: Working knowledge of types of electronic components, PCBs and assembly methods;
• Bilingual.
