Mechanical Projects Manager

Our client, a designer and manufacturer of custom automated machines, is looking for a Project Manager. You will be responsible for all resources allocated to projects in a custom manufacturing and automation industrial environment. Projects range in value up to $5,000,000.

• Work with clients to ensure that the project meets expectations in terms of features and functionality;
• Manage and negotiate project scope changes (design and order changes);
• Work with project planners to prioritize tasks in a multi-project environment;
• Ensure that project teams adhere to ISO 9001 procedures and manufacturing quality expectations;
• Work proactively to meet or improve deadlines and budgets;
• Follow up on payments and minimize the risk of financial exposure;
• Approve all necessary expenses for a project;
• Identify risks and develop strategies to reduce the impact;
• Supervise the supply of materials and ensure timely delivery;
• Communicate with the entire organization to ensure the success of the project;
• Organize and lead lessons learned debriefing meetings.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering;
• Asset: PMP Certification;
• 10 years of relevant experience (ideally in an industrial manufacturing environment);
• Skills with: AutoCAD (reading drawings), MS Office and MS Project, management and finance modules of an ERP system;
• Good skills in negotiation and conflict resolution;
• Valid passport, (occasional travel to the United States);
• Bilingual.
